I have recently received a wondrous comment informing me that I have been graciously given the honor of the Liebster Blog Award. This award I received from Angels are Kids and Furkids I would like to publicly thank her for this because she really made my heart sing which in turn inspired a poem. This award is given to the "best kept secrets" of the blogging world with followers below 200. I fully understand how hard it is to get the word of your blog out there, and am an avid supporter of those just starting out like myself. I am deeply humbled to be awarded this.

1.) Language Of The Crows - Who would I be if I did not entitle this man to this award, his poetry has often inspired many scribbles in my various stacks of notebooks.


2.) Eyes Wide Shut, Arms Wide Open - I am a fan of brut force when it comes to conquering the faults of ones life, the tragedies that lie dormant in ones soul, and with the young mans blog I get to see how tortured a soul can be. It only reenforces my belief that sometimes merely surviving is the most valiant thing a human can do.


3.) The Poetry of Me - I like how mundane she is and do not take this as an insult because it's not. Sometimes I just want to be reminded of everyday livelihoods, I never truly had "the high school experience" so says my mother, but what does that even mean? Anyhow, her blog is sort of a glimpse into the equal parts simplicity and chaos of her life.


4.) Wings that have eyes - A true spectacle of how pushing the boundaries of what "good" poetry means. She reminds me sometimes when I am struggling with the critiques of what is considered good and bad poetry that we do not write because we have to or can for that matter, we write because we cannot stop.


5.) The Book Ages - She is a true horrendously marvelous read! And I do mean that in the best way possible, her page is like stepping into a mystical land full of subdued colors and witty retorts, oh how I adore her book reviews.
